  WT’s first interests are in themselves. Something tells me that in this particular case the WT organization including Whitney’s congregation and adjoining circuit of congregations are doing their damndest, at the expense of Whitney’s surviving family, to dispel the potential of dark shadows and negativity that this crime of rape and murder may bring upon their institution.

  It’s another case of this God awful religious organization throwing someone under the bus in order to save face!

  truman , thank you for helping me understand the pain Whitney’s mom must be experiencing. I do remember the thread regarding the tragedy of your son’s death. May Godspeed your journey in life as you cope with the loss of your dear son, and may God help Whitney’s mom and family heal.

  I think this tragedy testifies to the fact that JWs are starved of truly having a good time in life.

  Let’s see: JWs don’t celebrate Mother or Father’s day, Birthdays, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day or other happy events. However, when someone is sexually assaulted then brutally murdered by one of your own kind and before your loved is even buried-you have an open house with hugs, kisses and other delights!

  I label that as bizarre behavior!

  well now the whole story is comming out...she wasn't a victim of "the outsiders"...it was her "spiritual brother" who raped and murdered her.

  I learned from a friend who knows members of Whitney's congregation that Jonathan Holt has been baptized some 4+ years, had been a MS but was reproved last year and removed.

  The question remains: Reproved and removed …….Why? Is there a connection with his being reproved, removed as MS and this crime?

  I’ll bet the police investigating this murder could learn a great deal from the elders about this JW Holt character.

  I hadn’t realized just how slow moving Jah and Jesus can sometimes be until I read par 14. The paragraph reads:

  ‘The same prophecy indicates that God’s Kingdom, pictured by a large stone, was cut from the mountain of Jehovah’s sovereignty in 1914.That stone is now hurtling toward its target—the feet of the image. At Armageddon, the feet and the rest of the image will be smashed.’

  So for the past 100 years that Messianic Stone has been traveling through the universe on its way to planet earth----what ……in slow motion?

  This WT explanation is almost too comical to believe!
